‘lights down’ offers a “juxtaposition between understated vocals with colloquial lyrics and hard, almost abrasive, synthetic sounds”. The track nods to Zombie Nation as well as the UK rave and hardcore that the Edinburgh-born producer and DJ is known for.
‘lights down’ is featured on the artist’s TBA debut EP, which is due out sometime in 2026.
“I wanted the track to feel like a moment of intimacy with someone in the middle of a pulsing crowd, on a dance floor at peak time,” she said.
‘lights down’ is accompanied by a fan-created visualiser, filmed at London’s The Cause in 360 using a ring of nine iPhones that captures the reactions of the fans hearing the track for the first time on the club’s soundsystem.
