My mental and physical health has very much been through the wringer in recent years, I cannae lie. Leaving London and putting down these roots can only have been the right choice, and the flourishing friendships I’ve gotten to grow through work and beyond have made every bit of grief worth it ❤️
To have my own silly gay family of DND, after work cocktails, Starkid, Barbie (AGH!), Peak tomfoolery, emotional support coffees in truly cursed mugs, to sharing endless pics of our cats and dunking on enemies (or cursing them at the joust, 10/10 recommended activity), means the world. It’s something of a privilege to say making friends has never been very hard for me, but I’ll spend all my life working to keep these ones as close as I can 😭✨
I got to travel three times this year, beating out my fear of flying - hosting games industry events twice, and once to finally meet the love of my life after two years together. There’s conversations and opportunities I got to take part in I never really saw on my horizons, and I’ll never take any of em for granted! Shipped our own game too, and it’s so weird and wild and scary and amazing and I’ve met so many wonderful new friends because of it 🌈🎮
I’m rabbiting as per, but it’s hard to articulate just how much love and joy and admiration I have for these people and what they’ve given me. 2026, you got a lot to live up to, babes x

@silverscriptgames - The Quiet Things... WOW! I played the demo and to be honest, I didn't want it to end! I've been following their journey for a while now so getting the opportunity to meet Alex at long last was wonderful. I love an emotive narrative with great voice acting and music to match so this game already has me hooked. If like me you adore Life Is Strange and Lost Records, then this one is for you! The team have put their all into creating something extraordinary and hearing more about the behind the scenes makes me even more excited to dive deeper when the final release is announced, especially as it's based on a true story 💜
@samclaydongames - The Calcium Crusader 64... Bringing nostalgia to life! This retro-inspired game is perfect for fans of Medieval, Croc and most of your old school classics! As a 90's kid, I grew up on platform games so when I noticed this one, I had to go and speak to Sam directly. The passion that radiates from him was so lovely to experience. We chatted for such a long time and it was great to read his book about his journey to date. Keep an eye out for the release date of this game next year! 💀
Zoey Turner - Websy and the Time Rogues... You play as a cute little spider in a web swinging rogue-like by collecting items, creating traps and eliminating the bad guys! I was immediately captivated by their colourful banner and upon finding out that Zoey is a solo dev, I was blown away! They don't have social media sadly, however you can check out some gameplay videos on their Steam page. 🕷️
