Ohhhhh boyyyy, I fell off the bandwagon but here I am! I’m BACK! Today’s #IGQuiltfest is Favorite Finish and here is my favorite of all time. It even hung at QuiltCon 2023. The wonderful group of women that I created this with all felt the same feels about the overturning of Roe vs Wade and I think it’s ringing true for so much of 2025 for so many of us.
I need to make something else like this again soon to work through some feelings.

I absolutely love pattern testing, but the thing I love more than pattern testing is pattern testing FOR MY FRIENDS!! But wait, it gets better…. Rachel sent us AN ENTIRE KIT!!
Now I don’t ever want to go back, I want little kits for EVERYTHING. You get the right interfacing, measurements, hardware, and zipper!
Anyhow, I quilted my mini panels in a tiny grid pattern and my youngest decided that the yellow on yellow Starry was more lemon-y than the other print so it needed to be on the outside. Live collaborating with my kids!

I finished the facing for my quilted banner! I plan to hand bind it down tomorrow. I’ll also be spending a great deal of time tomorrow coking for a family who has gone through something that no parent should ever have to go through. I’ll be trying to wrap this family in love via my cooking skills. Please pray for me, I’m an absolutely horrible cook and I don want to mess this up.

I am so excited to be learning how to do facing! It’s a new skill for me and it’s really hard and I’m also probably not doing this correctly BUT it looks good on the front, so we don’t have to talk about the back.
I made a two-toned facing with the white closest to the seams that would line up on the front. I found a pretty spring green by Heather Ross because I needed some dang color up in here. All the boring white was killing me. 😴😴😴
