When we were asked to bring a One Piece theme to life for Gil Mick’s 4th birthday, we didn’t want to just print some logos and call it a day. We wanted to build something the “Nakama” would actually keep.
The goal? A balance of utility and play.
We took the iconic Going Merry and turned it into a 3D keepsake, complete with orange trees and a custom “G” on the sail. But we didn’t stop at the packaging:
• The Play: A custom Snakes & Ladders “Road to One Piece” board game.
• The Gear: A map-patterned foldable bag and a custom tumbler for the daily voyage.
• The Process: Swipe to see how we translated the original “Romance Dawn” vibes into a clean, chibi style that stays true to the characters’ personalities.
Design is in the details—from the curve of the ship to the “To My Nakama” tags. It’s about creating that moment of “wow” when the lid finally comes off.
