Inside Silver Art, an art residency at 4 World Trade, where Silverstein Properties donated space for creators to dream, build, and make art in the heart of downtown. We spoke to Larry Silverstein about why he chose to turn prime real estate into a canvas for creativity.
This morning, Loom Song opened its doors.
Designers, architects, and press gathered on the 28th floor of @silverartprojects to experience a year’s worth of work — hand-knotted textiles, large-scale installations, and a conversation about what it means when craft and sound become one.
Grateful for everyone who came and felt it with us. Our evening session is on now!

𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘋𝘰𝘰𝘳𝘴 returns. A collaboration between @aodmagazine member community and @goodblackart
For our second event in the series aimed at pulling back the curtain on spaces within the art ecosystem, we stepped inside the world of an artist residency. A tour of @silverartprojects , a nonprofit residency program in Manhattan providing studio space and support for emerging and mid-career artists. An intimate look at the role of the residency, inside the artists’ studios, and the creative process behind their practice.
We visited the studios of:
Kimmah Dennis, @kimmah_dennis
Jamel Robinson, @iamjamelrobinson
Jaiquan Fayson, @jaiquan_fayson
Aristotle Forrester, @aristotles_abstractions_
Debra Cartwright, @debracartwright
With wines by @Triennes and water by @vossworld setting the tone, the evening made room for real conversation, connection, and a closer look at the work being made right now.
It was a moment of access. Bringing us closer to the stories, process, and intention behind the art and the artists who make it.
This cohort of residents concludes May 31st. Visit Silver Art by contacting [email protected]

Rooted in real locations and layered with history, her sculptural practice examines how spaces shape perception, emotion, and memory-mapping the subtle tension between what’s real and what’s felt.

Silver Art is pleased to announce Magnus Resch, PhD, as the inaugural Chair of the Selection Committee.
Applications for the 2026–2027 residency remain open until April 5 via @submit_art [link in bio].
Resch is an art market economist, bestselling author, and professor at Yale School of Management. His research includes “Quantifying Reputation and Success in Art,” published in Science, which found that an artist’s network of institutional relationships is the single strongest predictor of long-term career success. He has written eight books on the art market. CNN has recognized him as the world’s leading art market expert.
Each year, Silver Art’s Selection Committee brings together curators, museum directors, collectors, and cultural leaders to review thousands of applications and select 24 to 28 artists for the residency. The committee rotates annually. The Chair is a permanent role: convening the jury, casting tie-breaking votes, and maintaining the integrity of the process across cohorts.
