14th of March, HEAVY FEELINGS w/ SILVAN STRAUSS & D´MONK live at JAKI, CGN. HF is making its debut at JAKI and we couldn’t be more excited to open this new chapter. Taking over JAKI marks a next step to everything we’ve built in Cologne so far. For this special gathering SILVAN STRAUSS (Kabul Fire Records, Hamburg) and D’MONK (Touching Bass, London) will share a stage for the very first time. Both have played key roles within our extended HF family over the years and bringing them together feels like a step forward in our sonic universe. SILVAN STRAUSS, virtuosic drummer and longtime collaborator, has been part of our path from intimate shows at King Georg to his album release at Clouds Hill Studios in Hamburg. D’MONK from London, close friend and HF family member has performed with us multiple times and collaborated on video projects along the way. Seeing these two artists come together live at our JAKI debut marks a moment of experimentation and shared creativity. The night continues with DJ sets by HF resident SMIKI, an uprising force who recently played his first gig at Open Ground alongside Vinyl Selecta and HF founder PARISSA. @silvanstrauss @__d_monk @nhxy @parissacharghi @jaki.klub

@silvanstrauss ist beinahe schon Stammgast auf unserer Bühne. Der Stil des Produzenten, Schlagzeugers und Gewinners des Hamburg Jazz Preis ist zwischen Modern Jazz, beatbasierter Produktion und zeitgenössischer Improvisation angesiedelt. Für das feel.jazz Festival hat er sich mit Emre İşlemecioğlu @emre_isley zusammengetan: Emre ist ein in Lübeck lebender Gitarrist mit türkischen Wurzeln, der sich vorwiegend mit mediterraner, mikrotonaler, makam-geprägter Folkloremusik beschäftigt und dafür bekannt ist, traditionelle Spielweisen in zeitgenössische Harmonien zu überführen.
