Scottish Highlands tranquility
This is a personal project I created where I wanted to bring two stylized digital paintings to life through adding small animation and transition between the two. I had so much fun with this. Swipe for the style frames and chaotic sketch/colour exploration.

It's finally Spring 🌼 animation for the @clanimation.scot community collab.
Had a funtastic time with this one, did the rough animation in my local park and then spent ages colouring it all in on a single layer (see last slide). Why, you may wonder, when there are so many ways to speed up processes like this? Because I freaking love drawing! And I wanted it to look as close to analogue technique as possible while having that digital colour vibrancy.
Anyways, enjoy this lovely time of the year 🌞

Shifting shadows in a dark room. The first night spent in a new place every form feels uncertain, the darkness alive and nothing seems solid.
I've always been fascinated with this eerie feeling of not knowing a place and experiencing it in near darkness.

Recordings of a visit to Barcelona.
My friend is house-sitting there and I seized the opportunity to visit her and this stunning city again. I drew so much and it all accumulated in this eclectic collection of on-location drawings (some of which I retouched back home). You can tell that the blossoming of spring and good weather inspired me to unleash a lot of colour onto everything

The last few weeks I have ferociously been painting with inks and gouache every evening, trying to stay very lose and minimal with the line work and colour.
When I try a new medium or rediscover something that I haven't used in a long time, it feels similar to trying on new clothes. These new outfits make me excited to wear them and bring me joy, but I don't know yet how confident I am in wearing them out or how they fit in with the rest of my wardrobe so to speak.
But I know in time it will integrate and until then I'll just continue doing what excites me 🤷🏽♀️
