Only pattern available for the closed back flower maxi dress, I don’t have the motivation to try again for the open back unfortunately🥊
Turn the flower maxi dress into this cocktail dress by making these alterations to the pattern:
Follow the same pattern for the top, if a more slim look is desired, you can make 1 round of sc in step 19 instead of 2.
For the skirt, in step 22 make 78 (82) 86 (90) 94 (98) 102 (106) squ, including 1 inc, before doing the first filled. Reading the chart (found on last slide) from bottom and up and right to left. Do one inc on the other side.
You can do a little less inc to make it more shape fitted. I did 20 rounds with 2 inc and 15 rounds of 1 inc, but make sure it fits you continuously while making the rounds.
Create the slit around 10 rounds later than what is recommended for your hight.
Work back and forth 6 times. The 7. Th time going back, stop half way and do a ending like in step 14, but instead of cutting the yarn use this to make 1 round of sc, like in step 30
