Blivet House Pictures had an awesome experience last night at the @gasparillafilm festival. Our short No Magic No Nothing was shown during the shorts block yesterday. Hearing an audience crack up is infectious and I can’t wait to do this again! Thank you so much to @jodypucello and @trulykirsten for bringing their A game to our little short film. They really put the chefs kiss on this project. Thank you to everyone that had a role to play in making the magic happen! When @silentjstudio reached out with an idea about a micarta split for a @hoboforge_survival Instructor that he was having built for his dad, I got really excited. For one, any time I get to make something that honors someone’s service, I’m happy. It’s very much a second kind of cool thing about what I do. I love getting to talk to people and hear those personal stories. Secondly, up until now, I had never made a spacer for a split, and I always enjoy the process of working the problem and making what someone visualized a reality. Needless to say, this one took some time to figure out how to get just right. It started out with approximately 7x as many layers as one of my normal sheets 😅. The problem with what I do is, truthfully, until it’s cut and sanded, you really never know if it’s going to turn out exactly how you pictured. So I gave my little block of plastic to Jason, and waited for him to work his magic. As you can see, he definitely knocked this one out of the park! 😮‍💨 I made this spacer to honor and re-create the ribbon from @silentjstudio father’s Air Medal that he was awarded during his time in service. John, thanks for reaching out and trusting me with this project! I hope that both you, and your dad are pleased with how this turned out. It’s proven by training with it — not just as individual components, but as a complete system. Test it. Load it. Run it. Understand how each piece interacts under friction, movement, and real-world conditions. Friction can be your best friend or your worst enemy—it all depends on whether you understand it. Mark 6:34–44 reminds us that Jesus sees beyond numbers, timelines, and limitations. He sees the heart — and He often allows us to reach the edge of what we can manage so we remember who truly provides. Going into this new year, things felt steady. Plans were forming. The vision for expanding my business was clear. Cash flow was tight, but manageable — bills paid just in time, provision always showing up when needed. Like the loaves and fish, it never felt like much, but it was enough. Then everything hit at once. A class was canceled on short notice. A full week of income gone. Hotel reservations couldn’t be refunded. A letter arrived denying healthcare assistance, leaving me responsible for a massive increase — over $1,500 a month — at the worst possible time. I prayed hard. I trusted the Lord even when I couldn’t see a way forward. What followed was a long, frustrating day — hours on hold, dead ends, and the real possibility of going without insurance this year. It felt like I had brought my five loaves and two fish… and it still wasn’t enough. But God wasn’t finished. After many hours, I finally reached a compassionate person who listened. The high-cost policy was canceled, my application resubmitted, and the result was approval — better coverage at a lower cost than before. And then — as if God wanted to remind me who was in control — it got even better. That same night, my good friend Jason at HoboForge Survival unexpectedly promoted me and announced a training collaboration during a live feed. Hundreds of new followers. Real momentum. Real opportunity moving into 2026. This is how the Holy Spirit works — not always early, not always comfortably, but always on time. Jesus didn’t create something from nothing. He multiplied what was offered in trust. What felt insufficient in my hands became abundant in His. God hears our prayers. He provides exactly what we need, exactly when we need it — often in ways we never could have planned. #GodProvides #DivineTiming #FaithTestimony
