hello hello I just posted a mix of some ambient tunes with more rhythmic elements in it, called it ambient rhythm but I guess it could be called chill out as well or many other things. This summer I released my first full album (🙂!) for this project and organised two very special listening sessions, one in Amsterdam and one in Berlin. 🫧Music video incoming for my song ‘A Moment in Between Others’! I’m very happy that I’m learning how to transform some of my musical ideas into a fitting visual counterpart — using the abstract language of primary shapes which I’ve somehow been fascinated by my whole life. It’s a simplified language consisting of mathematical beauty and visual understanding that is basic and universal. Imo fitting to the song and my musical output. Curious to hear what you think 🫧 Very excited to work on more audioreactive projects and translating these into live experiences as well. ‘very cosy, intimate and cute’ would be my description of the album release listening session yesterday 😌. Thanks to the people that made it there and who made it a special evening for me! And for the ones that unfortunately couldn’t make it, I’m looking forward to playing more live sets and seeing you there! ‘Songs for Moments In Between Others’ is out for 3 days now, and it’s been actually heartwarming to hear about some of your personal experiences whilst listening to the album!🤍 if you haven’t checked it yet, give it a listen in a quiet moment and let me know what you think! Also, I’ve been working on my #touchdesigner skills, trying to translate my work in visual counterparts. This video shows just a little effect I found fitting to the song and visual of the album. The song is the first of the album and called ‘Honest at What It Is’, and slowly sets the scene for the album. Just some notes and sounds that provided me some peace of mind, honest at what it is✨ And please come to the album release listening experience this Saturday in Schoneberg @yogaonthe.move from 8-9PM! 🍀

Today is the day! 🍀 My album ‘Songs for Moments in Between Others’ is officially out! I can say many things about the songs and the process, but for now I would just like to invite you to listen to it at some point, when you have a little moment in between. Maybe even sit in the sun for half an hour and go through it entirely 🌞. Would love to know what you think! For the Berlin people, next week Saturday I will organize an album release listening session, where I’ll even mix in some unreleased songs! See the previous post for details.

 💿 @rufusvanbaardwijk thanks for the mastering, happy with the result and the additional tape processing! Thanks also for the secret listening session last week in @studio.hiddengem . The listening session was meant for my close friends and family and was a super special evening (see slides 4-6). Thanks to @yasper._ for the session in which we spontaneously came up with the track ‘A Moment to Breathe’. I feel like we should sit in the studio a bit more..
