They make it look easy (it’s not).
Countless reps. Lessons learned.
Wrapped up an unreal weekend at The Tactical Games at Y.O. Ranch Headquarters. Pushed limits, met great people, and left with more motivation than ever.
A great start to the season!
The road to Nationals begins now 👊
In this episode, I sit down with Chris Bayless, a retired 30-year ATF special agent who spent most of his career undercover, infiltrating violent gangs and outlaw motorcycle clubs across the country. Chris goes deep on his time inside the Hells Henchmen as they patched over to become the Hells Angels, the intelligence work that helped build the federal RICO case that took down Mel Chancey and the Chicago Hells Angels leadership, and the powerful reconnection that happened years later when Mel got out of prison and called Chris first to pick him up from the airport. We also get into Chris’s thoughts on ATF regulatory laws, the hatred many Americans have for the ATF, rightly so in many cases, and why that doesn’t erase this man’s 30 years spent face to face with some of the most violent people in the country.
It Isn’t Just Training.
The Tactical Games, presented by SIG SAUER, challenges competitors to push beyond their limits, physically, mentally, and technically. Every stage demands endurance, precision, and the ability to perform under pressure.
This is where the hours of training pays off, where discipline meets execution, and where you prove exactly what you’re capable of.

It’s here!
The SIG Custom Works Jack Carr + Winkler Knives Limited Edition P226 MK25 pistol.
This pistol is a tribute to the weapon that was on my side for every deployment. Even in those times when I had to take off my body armor and leave my M4 behind, my SIG P226 / MK25 was at the ready. It has always felt like a natural extension of my hand.
It is so near and dear to my heart that it had a starring role in unraveling the conspiracy in my debut novel, THE TERMINAL LIST.
The Winkler RnD Compact Hawk is a testament to the tradition of warrior culture. For more on the Winkler Hawk and how it became James Reece’s weapon of choice and my logo as I started my post-military chapter in life, check out the latest blog entry on my website.
Limited to 213 pistols which also happens to be my BUD/S Class number.
