çžä¸˝çĺĺšł / BEAUTIFUL PEACE
Oh, to be wild like the roses
Oh, to be red with delight
My blood is red out of fury
The wind doesnât blow this far right
Some terrors are born out of nature
Some terrors are born overnight
Some terrors are born out of leaders
With their eye on a different prizeâ¨

Dressed in white and adorned with white paper cranes, the artist stands as body, land, and witness. Over a thirty-minute duration, water, salt, sugar, molasses, coffee powder, and roses are poured over the body. The body becomes a site of accumulation â of memory, stain, and residue. This is not peace as comfort, nor care without condition, but a peace shaped by greed, imbalance, and what is taken. All traces are gathered and absorbed into thick white felt, forming a quiet action painting on the floor below.âŻ
