What is your KOORSOO? What gives you hope?
We left this morning's talk feeling energized, inspired, and reminded that even in our darkest moments, there is always a faint glimmer of hope, a light to guide our steps out of the shadows.
With passion, vulnerability, and his own unique creative expression, Justin Sigel of Sigel Arts (
@sigelarts ), invited us into his process and his story, sharing how some of the darkest seasons in his life lead him to finding his own KOORSOO.
Inspired by a question from Get Weird by past CreativeMornings Nashville (
@nashville_cm ) speaker CJ Casciotta (
@thecjaccount ) — “What if you changed your perspective from having something to prove, to having something to give?” — Justin shared how releasing self-imposed expectations helped him reconnect with a deep sense of gratitude and the joy of creating.
In Justin's own words “By creating, by making things, by making something, you’re filling a void with yourself, and you’re giving the world something. Everyone here has something to give […]
That has been my KOORSOO […] putting something into the world […] That has been my glimmer of hope. It is alchemizing my darkness to make light, and to show that there is light possible in other people’s world.”
Thank you, Justin, for sharing your light with us and inviting us to reflect on how we can alchemize the darker parts of our stories into our own light.
A special thank you to our host venue, Mounts Botanical Garden (
@mountsbotanicalgarden ), for their continued support of arts and culture in Palm Beach County and for providing such a beautiful space for our community to gather.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined us this morning and look forward to all that 2026 has in store for our CreativeMornings family. ✨
