Back to Roots Collection 2026
Himikalas / Pamela Baker
T.O.C. Legends House of Design — Vancouver, Canada
Inspired by our family potlatches from the northern tip of Vancouver Island, Back to Roots honours our songs, dances, names, marriages, memorials, and ceremonies.
Beginning with the Chief’s Treasure Box, moving through the Cedar Tree of Life and our Peace Dances, this collection carries family teachings into contemporary couture — woven with strength, elegance, and pride.

One year ago I survived brain surgery.
My father was murdered two years ago.
At 32, my uterus ruptured, I was 4 months pregnant.
These weren’t tragedies, they were initiations.
When you’re chosen to break cycles of family dysfunction, silence, addiction, roles and societal conditioning…
you walk through fire.
Not to be destroyed but to be forged.
God | Spirit wasn’t breaking me down.
God | Spirit was pruning me.
Showing me where I was out of alignment,
where I was giving my power away,
and who I was never meant to be.
Through my 4 Body Fit™ EmpowerHERment Method, Spiritual. Mental. Emotional. Physical.
I returned to myself, aligned with my truest self as God showed me this download to share with others after my near death experience.
Pain became power.
Truth became freedom.
God’s hand became direction.
Freedom has a price.
Freedom from conditioning.
Freedom from family patterns.
Freedom from addictions, toxic relationships, secrets, silence, and roles that were never mine.
And the strongest revenge against all of it…
is to heal. As God told me during my near death experience.
“Love isn’t just an emotion; it’s the most powerful force in the universe grounded in action and responsibility.”
Stop being a victim of life and start participating in it. Victim means to sacrifice yourself. At that moment I understood forgiveness, letting go of the hurt, patterns and people to create more space in my heart, body and soul.
I had a whole world to explore, including the authentic ME, and in order to do that I had to let go of the dead weight. God pruned me for more abundance.
And each road block you hit in life, it’s an opportunity for you to prune yourself, get rid of more dead weight, so you can fly even higher, like the majestic eagle, 🦅
I paid that price willingly to become the woman God designed me to be…..a force of nature, fierce and feminine, divine and a warrior of light.
To my sisters, my tribe:
These fires are not punishment.
They are your initiation.
When you Trust Your Design™ your Feminine Intelligence, you become the force of nature God intended you to be.

Behind the scenes at SWAIA Native Fashion Week with the incredibly talented Himikalas Pam Baker.
The energy backstage? Electric.
The details? Next level.
The women? Powerful.
There is something unforgettable about Indigenous fashion that doesn’t just walk the runway… it tells a story, carries legacy, and commands presence without saying a word.
Santa Fe brought the magic, the laughter, the chaos, the beauty and yes, a little “where are my shoes?!” runway panic. 😂🔥
Honored to be part of this powerful celebration of culture, artistry and fierce feminine expression.
