LeChuck began his reign of terror long before he became a ghost. In life, he dominated the Seven Seas, sinking countless Royal Navy ships and leaving a trail of bodies in his wake. Legends say he dislocated Blackbeard’s shoulder during an arm-wrestling match at the Scumm Bar, and with nothing but trickery and nerve, he managed to trap One-Eyed Willy and his entire crew inside a mountain cavern, where they awaited death in utter boredom.

But raw strength and brutality were never enough for him. LeChuck craved power beyond the mortal world. His obsession with Voodoo drove him to the forbidden jungles of Monkey Island, where his final expedition ended in death. Or rather, in something worse.

Since then, LeChuck roams the seas as an undead pirate lord, fueled by Voodoo magic, heavy metal and an unquenchable thirst for power.
