Today marks 9 years since my senior recital at the University of the Arts. My how the time flew by! It’s so funny thinking back on that day, my biggest fear was that recital could be my last major performance (as I planned to be a teacher).
Flash forward to now. I AM a teacher, and I’ve had the privilege of working with so many incredible students (and I co-founded 3 music lessons schools). Some of my students have gone on to book professional theatre roles, get into college for music, and even get callbacks for Broadway shows ❤️
And let me just say… my senior recital was NOT my last show. I even wrote an album’s worth of originals and started to perform them at Philly venues - I’m proudest of the show where I hosted a benefit concert for WOAR and got to share this music with an incredible audience. I felt like I was on the up and up, having the most amazing show lined up in 2020 but of course, COVID was a forced hiatus. Now I perform almost every week and wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’m covering songs I never thought I’d be able to sing, and I’m giving up my sense of control at each gig by having the audience pick what songs I sing, and in what order as we do ALL request based sets (2017 year old Sienna could never have fathomed doing that). I no longer get nervous before hitting the stage, but I have never been so fulfilled ✨
Today marks 6 years since we lost my dad 🤍
With each year that goes by, everything new feels very bittersweet because he isn’t there to be a part of these chapters. I still bring him up every time I can, and try to make sure his spirit isn’t forgotten. I’m cherishing these memories so closely, and missing him so deeply.

People have assumed I’m 30 since we opened CSound, so by that logic, cheers to 37 🥂
Taking a moment to reflect on how far our little @soundmusicnj school has come... 7 years ago, we finally launched our small business - only to have our first studio phone call ever be a kid prank calling us 🤣 There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears put into these schools (at times LITERALLY), and I may work 7 days a week most of the time, but I wouldn’t trade this for the world.
Now we have well over 300 actively enrolled students, and it’s a dream come true to be here. I am so proud ❤️
