Tried a new setup with the Astera Titan and the Titan Light Sock 40 from Wireless Film Lights. We used some thin steel plates gaff taped to the cement ceiling to hold a Titan with the sock up with magnetic clamps. Worked like a charm. Definitely using this setup again.

Got a chance to light for DoP Daniel Routh ( @dmrouth ) on a sweet commercial with Weekend Video ( @itsweekendvideo ) using only Astera Products! Titans, NYX Bulbs, and PixelBricks lit the set along with some handy accessories like the Titan LightSock 40, Helios Baby Pin Handle, and HoneyCrates Directional LCDs. It gave a really great look and “lighting from the monitor” wireless control, which helped me not have to run all over set.
Can’t wait to see how this one turns out!

A look back on the Electric & Grip crew from the last feature, Chocolate Lizards. I got to return to my feature film Gaffing roots and also got to provide additional lighting through @siegeworksllc .
