Imagine your first voiceover job ever was the title role in a new network cartoon that would run five seasons, one in which you got to play not only the hero but a couple of the villains as well. That was my experience on JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES, back in 2000 on the Kids WB. What great luck, what a great way to launch a career you never thought you’d have a chance at. I loved every minute working on that show (well, every minute I wasn’t thinking I’d be fired) and learning from such generous, talented pros like
@showrunnerduanecapizzi , Sue Blu, and an extraordinary cast of regulars and guest stars. It was truly like winning the lottery.
And now, almost 25 years later, all five seasons of JCA has been brought back to vivid life with this amazing new artwork by
@matsumoto_art . I can’t adequately tell you how awed I am by this poster. MK remembers more about the show than I do, and it’s such a joy to discover characters and situations I’d totally forgotten. He puts such care and artistry into every image.
The J-Team lives again! (Time for a reunion, don’t you think?)
