This painting took me 2 years to complete !! It was like a journal entry I kept going back to, except I’d scribble all over and white out what I’d expressed the day before.
I really wrestled with this— it was too pretty, so I hated it. Then it was too messy, and I hated it. But now I’m really happy with it, this is the biggest canvas I’ve ever worked on.
I named it Die Antwoord bc I had a revelation the last day I worked on this watching the doc about them called ZEF. (10/10 incredible) I won’t bore u with a long ass description lol but BIG shout out to @sugaredstrawberrry for gifting me this canvas while I was living in his studio last year. ❤️💚🖤
