“So what does Sideways do?”
Over the last few years, we’ve been asked this question often.
Each time, the answer varied depending on the nature of projects we were doing at that point in time, very much in line with our initial philosophy of exploring the possibilities that an interdisciplinary creative collective offers.
We believe that, after 10 years of learning and working with over 100 brands, we now have a concrete answer to the question.
And what better way to tell our story than a website.
Please do take a look at our new site. (Obviously enjoyed better on a desktop)
Hopefully, it gives you a clearer sense of what Sideways does.

“If I wasn’t a graphic designer, I would’ve been a chef.
Maybe chased animals with a camera, or even trained dogs to pose.”
If this sounds like you, we’re on the lookout.
We’re looking for someone who can take a brief, find the idea inside it, and carry it through. From the first layout to the final one.
We’re hoping you have other interests beyond design. Maybe channelled during the weekends, which surprisingly come in handy during work hours too. That curiosity and range is what makes you T-shaped. And if you’re nodding along, you’ve already made a strong case for yourself. You care deeply about typography, composition, and systems. You notice the small decisions that make work sing, and you know that simplicity, when chosen well, is powerful.
You have a portfolio that shows how you think, not just what you’ve made. And yes, it would be fun to spot a senior designer still using “[email protected]” as their email ID.
If this sounds like you, or someone you know, send your CV and portfolio to [email protected]

It's not right to keep the love of your life waiting. But if it is for the love of linen, it is worth it.
Check out our second film from our latest work for The Arvind Store.
Some things just can’t happen fast enough. And this one tops the list. Here’s the first film from our latest campaign for Navi UPI.
P.S. What’s one everyday thing you wish would happen faster? Drop it in the comments.
There are those who like linen. Then there are those who love linen. And then there are Linen Paglus!
Our latest work for The Arvind Store is an invitation to men who love linen. And a cheeky warning for women.
Watch the film to find out what we mean ;)
Mumbai Climate Week is India’s first global platform for climate conversations. It showcases solutions and initiatives relevant to the Global South’s response to climate change.
Sideways was commissioned to develop the brand identity for Mumbai Climate Week. The identity embodies the concept of the Earth’s biosphere, where diversity, ecosystems, and ideas are interconnected, strengthening one another and driving collective climate action as one unified force.
Hence, inspired by Indian weaving and embroidery traditions, the identity brings together all the SDG motifs to form a globe.
These motifs also come alive in the brand communication, making the brand rooted in culture and connecting worldwide ambition with a strong sense of Indianness.
What do you do when a product comes with a feature as ridiculous as a 50-year warranty? You talk to the people it is relevant to. And sometimes, it is not who you think.
Presenting our latest film for Sintex.
