Recently this clip has been in my brain rent free, from a doc called Lenny Cooke, Remember his Face directed by Josh & Benny Safdie.
What made this clip gold to me is understanding the story of Lenny Cooke who once was a potential for the NBA draft and ranked very high (higher then a young Lebron) but had a very arrogant mindset, while his contemporaries were practicing and going to school. Spoiler alert he never made it to NBA.
It’s a big cautionary tale, one that I always keep in mind about because this type of situation can happen outside of basketball to anyone.
Thus the green screen of Lenny Cooke talking to his younger self was very powerful to say the least.
Ladies & Gentlemen I present y’all my latest video project. That I have been working at for about two weeks or even more if I’m telling the truth. A video about a cancelled game called Fear & Respect directed by John Singleton & starting Snoop Dogg for the PS2, XBOX & PS3.
I figure I do this as I noticed info online was limited but also I noticed stuff from the Game Informer Article isn’t anywhere online. So I figure I utilize what I read & put it in video form, as well as any other info I could find about the game.
I know I need to invest into a better mic & my video editing is still sloppy in some parts but believe me it was worst before 😂 anyways enjoy

A Bandai game from the 90s that doesn't suck ?!
I don't know much about Kamen Rider Rider aside from watching Shin Kamen Rider. I do know its a long running series & many folks held the helm of the masked Rider. Me being a sucker of old import games I decided to try it out.
The game is pretty simple, its a 3D fighting game but not in the same level as a Tekken. You have an arcade mode & a story mode. Arcade is the traditional fight 8 or 10 folks then fight the boss. Story has more variety as before fighting a villain you fight their goons in a beat'em up style.
That said after a while you've seen most of what the game has to offer. Its not a bad game or a hidden gem, its just okay.
It did get me interested of the series as it can get very dark despite its long marketing for kids, 🇺🇸 tv execs would never 😂

Two days ago, I decided to participate in a DJ battle. Probably the best decision I've done because knowing myself if I didn't, I would of probably regret for not signing up.
Even though I came in not knowing what to do, at the end I left very satisfied and motivation to put more work into the craft.
It was also pretty cool it was in CSUN as a year ago or two I was grinding for that Masters degree. Thought that was cool, as back then I would never of thought of doing DJ battle in that same institution a year or so later but here we are.
Shout out to CSUN & @skyyhook for hosting the event & all the judges providing the space to battle. It was such a big learning experience.
Also shout out to the emcees, producers and my DJ colleagues 🙌

I officially beat one of the most expensive SNES games that exists here in 🇺🇲. I do want to note my cart is a reproduction because an official one is a price a decent laptop that is new.
E.V.O. is interesting, its a sequel of a 🇯🇵 PC game & the whole concept basically takes a page of Darwinism as you start the game as a 🐟 that eats other fishes which you get "evolution points" which you can use to evolve to a stronger fish which can potentially lead you to evolve to a shark. Levels goes from sea, the dryland, to prehistoric, ice age and early mankind.
Its very amusing but it being published by Enix, this game has a lot of RPG traits & have points where you need to grind. As some levels you are a small animal that needs to go through an area of T-Rex.
That said, I had fun with this one BUT requires A LOT of patience because platforming can be a little wonky and getting damage can sometimes be questionable. Its challenging but enough were its manageable. Worth the asking price? Probably not, glad I finally got play it as this is the only way to play it. Shout out to @gamerealms as I got this copy a few months back.

The Groove Syndicate Crew stays committed to leveling up every single day. Every DJ has to get that first show under their belt at some point—and last night was that moment for Young Cobby.
He got the call and stepped up, jumping on the decks at Cheers Sports Bar for his very first public set ever. No hesitation, just straight into the mix.

This here is probably one of the worst cover arts of a video game I've ever seen, Super Bust-a-Move developed by 🇯🇵 arcade giant, Taito and even published it over there but worldwide the publisher would end up being Acclaim. A game company that was known for publishing a lot of mid games and occasional ports for Midway Games. That said by the late 90s and early 2000s they did everything they can to get attention when things were going south. Such as making a Bust-a-Move/Puzzle Bobble game having a crappy cover art that has 0 relevance of the game. Game is fun and is a simple puzzle game of matching set of 3 colored balls.
Which kinda sucks because the game itself has a very distinct Y2k esthetic that Acclaim hid in the game manual.
Fun game and unusually addicting
