The @sideponyexpress music festival happens every November in Bisbee, AZ. For 3 days, dozens of bars, stores, galleries, and town parks turn into music venues. 150-ish different bands come from all over the west to play and it’s all free for attendees.
I’ve long been obsessed with live music photography and it is a real treat to simply walk down the street from my house and point my camera at so many different bands. I appreciate the venues and the bands for letting me be in their space for a few songs while I nerd-out with my camera. Here are a few of my favorite memories from the weekend….oh, and there was mud wrestling too.

Sidepony 12 wrapped yesterday, but we’re not done celebrating the people who made it happen.
We’re kicking off a little “Meet the SPX12 Crew” series this week, so you can get to know the folks behind the scenes who plan, build, fix, welcome, listen, haul, hype, and hold this whole thing together.
