Juniper II is a collaborative expression from Hendrix Gullixson and Sawing Sound (Toby Kaufmann-Buhler).
Three sibling pieces reflect the very best from these artists. Sweeping layers of processed instrumentation and dense soundscapes carry the listener through each unique song.
Juniper II was written between early summer and late fall of 2025.

And so begins the sixth year of shows at Common Sage! Man, time really flies by! It was fun to experiment with a new audience configuration to accommodate floor projection for the set from @sidemyth

As i was working on this video in the past couple of weeks, i was really enjoying its meeting and departure; that is, both with and from the song here (a longer clip from Lightning Ride) that Hendrix and i had been working on in the past few months, along with the rest of Juniper II. I was able to enjoy this so much in part because Hendrix has done so much work in composing and developing the material; inhabiting this work visually has been like visiting a world where my familiarity has been almost fully transformed.
