wow its a great day to tell u that we are playing a benefit this sunday nov 9 with legendary SheBoom, fundraising for @luce_hotline & somerville rapid response network mutual aid @theburrenbar show is early, at 3pm tix are moving fast u do not wanna miss it link in bio!! 💙💙💙 It is a true honor to play with SheBoom, Somerville/Cambridge’s only post-menopausal, Brazilian-inspired percussion and vocal ensemble known for its unique mash-up arrangements of music with a political/social bent. SheBoom draws heavily from the rhythms and styles taught by their mentor, Marcus Santos.  The band, formed in 2010, consists of women who play a variety of percussion instruments like surdos, agogos, congas, snares, and repiques.   !!!!! 😱 OMG NO WAY the beatles are playing in somerville again?! 😱 that’s right we are BACK for a halloweeeeeen show on october 30th at sacco’s and this time we are raising money to save our studio building @centralststudios !! we’re playing with @orbiterbos aka oasis and @scrodband and @magdanbrass and there will be all kinds of shenanigans INCLUDING but not limited to burlesque via Dyke van Dick and pizza and @ratsfoiledagain__ . come rock out and help us hold on to our beloved studio building 🎃 october 30th @ 7pm 📍sacco’s bowl haven in davis sq @afbsomerville 🎟️ ticket link in bio a little more info on the cause: our beautiful studio building is in the process of being sold to @abcgreaterboston who plan to keep it as affordable art space in perpetuity! thanks to our organizing and the financial support of the city of somerville we’re almost there, but we need a little more financial support from our community to help us cross the finish line. affordable workspaces for artists are disappearing all around boston, so please come out and support us so we can preserve our beloved studio building for the 29 artists who rent here!!!! and thanks everyone who has already helped us along the way ❤️❤️
