This birthday felt different — in the best way. I booked a last-minute solo trip to Boston (my first ever!) and gave myself the space to just be… to rest, reset, and reflect on the past year. No agenda, no pressure, and for once, no social media. It was exactly what I didn’t know I needed.
Year 27 brought a lot of wins, especially financially (because 25/26 humbled me hard 😭). But even in a good year, life still reminded me that it’s never going to be all smooth sailing. Whether it’s health, family, mental, or the unexpected curveballs… something will always be happening. And that’s okay! I’m learning to hold space for ALL of it.
LIFE is really about the little things carry us through — laughing with friends, trying a new restaurant, booking a trip, watching a movie that hits at the right time, hearing a song that makes you feel seen. That’s what it’s about. That’s what makes life worth LIVING.
Not gonna write a novel (because I know most people ain’t gonna read anyway lol), but truly feeling grateful and grounded to see another year. Like I said last year, my birthday is my personal New Year, and I’m walking into 28 with a full heart and open hands. Excited for what’s ahead, whatever it may bring.
