Sıdal Erguder is an multi award-winning film director and producer with eastern roots.
She has traveled to over 50 countries, creating impactful documentaries, particularly in North Africa and the Middle East. Sıdal has also been a speaker at the Desert Conference in collaboration with Yale University.
As the mother of Shams, she spreads love and wisdom across the globe.

In 2019, we spent a month in Algerian refugee camps filming a documentary about Western Sahara Refugees. Since then, I’ve been drawn to the desert and its wisdom. Now, in 2024, @gokceslm and I have created a festival called @shams.festival , inspired by Shams Tabrizi, meaning ‘Sun’ in Arabic.
