I always promise myself to be more consistent here but that's okay :3
The heat is unbearable but one has to find moments of cool. Like this Sicilian electronic album full of trip-hop and ambient rhythms bringing you that chill out aesthetic. The song titles reflect places that Roberto [Agosta] holds dear- the Gorna and Ilice mountains at the foot of Etna, the Carricante vineyard and its excellent wine, Unna, Three Chestnuts, Varanni, Don Alfio, Lady G. Each of them represents a pleasant and dreamlike narration and the escape from the complex dynamics of a city like Catania.
Hop right in for a soundtrack-like dream sequence that makes you reflect as much as it transports you to galaxy far far away.

Kicking 2026 w this beauty by @brahjamusic who I discovered last year via his eponymous debut LP from 2019.
Devin was also kind enough to introduce me to @rrgemsrecords who have this release among many more jazz gems from up north. Shall do a pick of some of my favs soon.
But this here, released on the cusp of the new year is special. Brahja goes even deeper into the spiritual, cosmic jazz with his compositions. The drums programmed by Richard Maye blend in seamlessly with Georgia Collins on the acoustic bass making the rhythm loops give you those nu-jazz sallies mixed with just the right amount of bebop and swing. Watson on the clarinets and Janice Lowe on the flute take you back to the Coltrane-Henderson-Saunders era with Lowe's voice being the fine parsley garnish on this jazz soup.
Beautiful record.
Check it out fams :)
Happy new year, and peace out

Okay 10 is too small a number so here's 16 more jazz releases from 2025 that absolutely slap
I hope these also expand the dimensions of what you might consider jazz
Have fun fam :)
Peace out
Been a while since I said anything here. Been listening to a lot of music, not necessarily analog :)
Here's some jazz albums from 2025 that have left a mark on me. Won't be too verbose about it.
Give them a listen! Peace out.

The third installment of the EL MUNDO ES SONIDO (THE WORLD IS SOUND) series from @labelimaginariarecords brings it all back home. Home, for a large proportion of our human race, is not only land, but also the sea. I was sitting in a small beach shack in Odisha, on the East Coast of India when I first listened to the then unreleased record. In the course of the next 40 minutes, I was transported to the Amalfi, the Caribbean, the beaches of Anatalya and Levant, and all the sunny warm beaches of our Earth which feel like a warm hug. The beaches of Gaza, razed by greed and hatred, which shall rise again in love. The timeless sounds of Reggae, Cumbia, Ska, Delta blues, and Napolitan funk make you nostalgic, perhaps even for places you’ve never been to.
Having been nearly 2 years in production, the producers wanted something that took them home. A home deep in the Mediterranean. While the first two records in the series feature more abstract and electronic themes of the trip and the place, Home celebrates the simplicity of return. The return to your mothers, your people, your food, your land after tripping through many corners of the world of sound. The music, itself, was recorded in various places around the world by the respective artists being cued by the producer. In a brilliant display of the what the producers call a "cosmic connection that music binds us in", the album came together like a streamlined flow and keeps the listener spellbound.
Big up to all the artists and the producers!
Out on SoundCloud. And on vinyl soon! :)

The absolute, most truthful name a record has ever had. Funky Bump is exactly what goes on inside. Although this is just a single, the "1st Round" album which it appeared on has equally amazing stuff.
A first round of Pino indeed.
I'm in Odisha, in the countryside, in a village on one of the riverine islands in the Mahanadi delta, the sea breeze has brought with it some Baisakh clouds, a great escape from the North Indian heat and the funk has been a great travel companion.
Listen up folks
Goodnight
Peacee :))
