∎ Performance w wykonaniu 𝗜𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗲𝘃𝗮 zbudowany jest wokół jednego centralnego pytania: „Will you marry me?”, kierowanego do publiczności. Za nim kryje się jednak coś więcej niż żart - to opowieść o doświadczeniu migracji, biurokracji i codziennych zmaganiach z rzeczywistością. Balansując między tym, co osobiste, a tym, co polityczne, performer zamienia własną historię w żywy proces - pełen napięcia i niewygodnych pytań. To performans o relacjach, granicach, przywilejach i systemie, który potrafi zamienić życie w procedurę.

💚 Agnietė Lisičkinaitė’s (LT) and Igor Shugaleev’s (BY) work CLAP&SLAP was one of the most anticipated pieces of the Baltic Dance Platform, as the duo has been selected for Aerowaves Twenty26.
Politically engaged during the Belarusian revolution in 2020, Igor took part in protests in Belarus, while Agnietė joined demonstrations in front of the Belarusian embassy in Vilnius. Igor was forced to leave his homeland; Agnietė made the decision not to collaborate with Russian-speaking artists. 🫂 Meeting on the same stage today, the two artists attempt a dialogue that seems impossible outside of art: a dialogue between fear and the necessity of action, between collective and personal responsibility, between personal tragedy and geopolitical catastrophe.

The two dance artists Agnietė Lisičkinaitė @superagniete and Igor Shugaleev @shugaleev talk about how this war is affecting the entire region – a theme they also address in their performance «Clap & Slap», which will be featured at this year’s Theater Spektakel.
