I was truly honored to create collages for the new collaboration between Wales Bonner and Adidas Originals, paying tribute to the unique craftsmanship of the Karintha braided shoe.
Every chance I get to work with Wales Bonner feels like a blessing, constantly motivating me to strive for excellence. Being trusted by Adidas as well is still something I can’t wrap my head around

NAIROBI — KENYA
I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Kenya as part of the Jordan x UJI Scout Trip. Under the Designer Program with @unionjeunesseinternationale and @jumpman23 . This journey was beautifully curated by @youssouf.f .
Kenya, much like Brazil, has been a revelation, even though the two countries are so different.
From Nairobi to the vast plains of Mount Kenya, there is a profound sense of history. Located close to the Horn of Africa, it genuinely felt like reaching the cradle of humanity, where everything began.
I am endlessly grateful to have been part of this journey. It’s an honor, especially since I shared it with amazing creatives from around the world : talented, driven individuals who are aware of our collective impact as a community. The next generation of leaders :)

BAHIA
The series “A Certain Idea of Brasil — Bahia” closes with these final collages and the words of Gilberto Gil : one of the country’s most iconic musicians and leading figure of Tropicalismo. (The 1960s movement blending Brazilian tradition with global counterculture) evoking Bahia’s uniqueness as the cradle of Brazilian culture and creativity.

Collages on Salvador da Bahia, featuring the work of Mário Cravo Neto.
Mário Cravo Neto, born in Salvador, is considered one of Brazil’s most influential photographers — yet his work seems to remain relatively unknown outside a niche circle of photography enthusiasts in Europe.
I first discovered his work while in Brazil, where I came across some of the rare books he published on Salvador. Shot between the 1970s and 1990s, his photographs struck me with their power : the way they capture the authenticity of the people and the raw intensity of everyday life. They still resonate with an immediacy that feels profoundly contemporary.

Once the country’s capital, Salvador continues to be a significant place for cultural emergence and expression.
The upcoming series of visual works explores Salvador da Bahia through archival material, music, poetry, documentaries and its people.
Each composition reflects an atmosphere — a way of seeing and sensing the city beyond its surface. An invitation to encounter Bahia differently

These three collages are fragments of how I experienced Rio. Not as a documentary or a claim to truth, but as an emotional imprint — an echo of something deeply familiar. Brazil’s layered cultural heritage, its visual intensity, its rhythms, and its contradictions — all sparked a strange sense of belonging.

I will forever remember that day, when one of my favourite brand reached out.
For me, Wales Bonner embodies what I see as true cultural luxury: weaving new narratives, honoring heritage, and creating space for dialogue across cultures. Being invited to contribute to the 2025 MET Gala was not only an honor, but a deeply moving moment.
To feel seen and acknowledged by such a visionary brand is something I hold with immense gratitude. Projects like this remind me why I create — and why representation, nuance, and care matter so much.

Zouj is a personal project and creative reflection, rooted in the desire to forge a unique visual language that respond to the need to represent cultures.
This approach is constantly enriched through a collection of audiovisual archives, photographs, literary texts, and other forms of expression, which together refine Zouj’s identity.
