Growing up, so much of my childhood was wrapped in the music and poetry of Rabindranath Tagore.
I began my dance journey with my very first Kathak teacher, who was Bengali, and somewhere between taals, poetry, and endless rehearsals, Rabindra Sangeet quietly became a part of me. 🤍
This video was actually shot a year ago, but I’m resharing it today because life is WONDERFULLY CHAOTIC at the moment and content creation has taken a tiny pause while your girl tries to keep up with everything happening offline. 😅
But some music deserves to return, no matter when it was filmed.
Happy Rabindra Jayanti to you all. 🌸
World Dance Day feels like the right day to let two worlds meet.
Kathak × Carnatic.
Two worlds. One rhythm. And somewhere in between…
it finds its DANCE.
A small project, a lot of riyaz, and something we’ve been quietly building with a lot of love.
Releasing tomorrow at 10AM on YouTube.
We’d love for you to watch it. 🤍
No shortcuts, no quick fixes. Just hours of practice, experimentation, confusion, breakthroughs… and finally, magic.
We’re dropping it on our YouTube channel tomorrow at 10AM on World Dance Day and we’d love for you to watch it, feel it, and tell us what you think.

Cold weather = finally an excuse to layer, accessorise, and pretend I planned this outfit 😌
But to be honest… this is cute for the photo.
I’ll take summer for literally everything else. 🌴🌞🕶️🌻

Two Worlds. One Rhythm.
'The Mridangam Project', where Kathak meets the soul of Carnatic, and rhythm come alive through movement.
Full Release on World Dance Day, April 29th, 2026.
Documenting this as proof of progress…
Right now it’s still under construction 🚧
But will 100% come back to see.
Basically so I don’t gaslight myself later. 💪
