ART FOR DINNER is an experience created by Cool And Thoughtful and
@shplusone , and designed to spread a new model of sharing about art: in lieu of a focus on price, trends, or the « standard » for « quality art, » the ART FOR DINNER experience is about the universal human experience that art offers to all of us.
In a conversation designed and facilitated by
@bykerrin_ , each attendee is guided to connect to their original « why »–their raison d’être–for loving art in the first place. The inaugural ART FOR DINNER experience took place at
@grandtour.art , and dinner itself was powered by
@solarstudio__ , whose signature warmth and magic turned the table and culinary experience into a piece of art itself, thanks to
@stcyrjules @karkai.paris &
@carressauvages .
ART FOR DINNER was a precursor to the corresponding exposition ”Art for Art Sake”–a show starring
@cesmccully @humbertopoblete_bustamante @jordykerwick @chang.kai.chun @vincentbeaurin , curated by
@juliencadet @bykerrin_ @manon_canto @saraheitzmann , and created in collaboration with
@romeropaprocki @stroukgallery .
As
@manon_canto writes in the exposition text,
« In an age saturated with commentary and content, Art for Art’s Sake invites a return to
presence–a moment of stillness where form, light, and texture become their own language.
The exhibition gathers a young constellation of artists, curators, and thinkers united by a
shared sensibility: that beauty, in its purest form, still has the power to move us–not through
what it says, but through what it makes us feel.
This is not about exclusivity or posturing, but about sincerity…At its heart, Art for Art’s Sake is not a statement, but a vibration–a space where art exists for itself, and for the pulse it awakens within us. »
Across every single touchpoint, for both the dinner and exposition alike, you’d find the common values embodied by everybody involved: integrity, generosity, deep friendship, and a love for art.
What an honor to create something so special together, thank you. 🤍
