PHOTOS | Maia and the Squires Celebrate Their Debut EP Release in Berlin On May 16, 2026, Maia and the Squires celebrated the release of their debut EP “Sinking Into the Ocean” with a heartfelt hometown show at House of Music in Berlin, Germany. Still early into their journey as a band, the quartet already felt completely locked into each other on stage — drifting between dreamy, shoegaze-inspired textures and sudden bursts of noisy, emotional release.  🎵 @maiaandthesquires 📍 @house_of_music_berlin in Berlin, Germany 🗓️ May 16, 2026 📸 Photos by @franznaumann_ Full gallery now live on our blog!

On Stage With Kate | Episode 1: @mantle.band_ | Part 1 🎤 Had a buzzing chat with Mantle, where we discussed their origin story — from creating the band and having a different name before, to taking inspiration from other artists and preparing for their debut headline gig as Mantle on 13 June in @whelanslive ✨ When I first thought about starting this interview series, Mantle were the first band that came to mind to reach out to. Massive thank you to Sean, Jake, Shane and Sean for trusting and supporting the project before even knowing how it would turn out! Hope you guys enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed editing it! Part 2 coming very soon — keep your beautiful eyes out for updates 👀

GIG SPOTLIGHT BERLIN | Maia and The Squires - May 16th Formed in Berlin in 2024, Maia and the Squires are quickly carving out their own space between shoegaze haze, dream pop atmosphere and alternative rock intensity. Ahead of their EP release show in Berlin on May 16th at House of Music, we spoke to the band about building their sound, the emotional side of live performances, and why honesty matters just as much visually as it does musically. 🎵 @maiaandthesquires 📍 @house_of_music_berlin in Berlin, Germany 🗓️ May 16, 2026 Full interview now live on our blog! INTERVIEW | Hajaj on Identity, Craft & Cultural Impact in “Waiting Room (With The Ticking Time Bomb)” Arriving at Les étoiles in Paris, France — Hajaj introduces himself with a smile while the team unloads set-pieces that are reminiscent of a scene from Mary Poppins carpet bag… a lamp, 2 tall lights, a bundle of rugs, a Stetson, some jokes about taking a selfie. He wears his heart on his sleeve — proudly, and openly. The new album “Waiting Room (with the ticking time bomb)” was released April 10th via Nettwerk, and it’s a complex mix of rawness that explores themes of time, grief, structure, and travel. There’s a gritty analog sound that reminds me of 60s and 70s soul, and R&B albums, and it’s embellished by the fact that the album was recorded entirely on reel-to-reel tape. We had a bit of time to take a few portraits, and then sat down to chat — hoping to unravel some of the thread that has been weaved into Hajaj’s music… Full interview now live on our blog! PHOTOS | Oklou Turns 9:30 Club into a Quiet, Glowing Dream On April 27, 2026, Oklou brought her delicate, otherworldly sound to the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., turning the room into a soft, glowing dream. With airy vocals and minimal, textured production, the set unfolded gently, pulling the crowd into her quiet, immersive world. It was the kind of performance that didn’t demand attention but held it completely — subtle, emotional, and deeply felt. 🎵 @oklou_ 📍 @930club in Washington, D.C., USA 🗓️ April 27, 2026 📸 Photos by @mikeeekimchi 🖤 Thank you @orienteer ! INTERVIEW | Boxing Club – On Visuals, London’s Underground & EP “What’s the State Done to You?” What started as a solo project, just making sense of things through rough electronic sketches, has slowly turned into a band shaped by trial, error and the reality of playing live in London. @boxingclubband ’s debut EP “What’s the State Done to You?” feels like a snapshot of that journey. It’s tense, direct and sometimes uncomfortable, pulling from real experiences and the kind of environment a lot of people recognise but don’t always talk about. We spoke to Boxing Club about how the project grew into a band, the ideas behind the EP, and why keeping things honest matters more than making them easy. Catch them live in London at the Old Blue Last on May 9th! Full interview now live on our blog! 📸 Photographers are tagged.
