I nearly missed this 😅
Seconds before the Roberto Cavalli show started, a VIP took their seat. I didn’t even know who it was, I just knew I needed their picture.
@hey_imlara gave me the tip that it was Megan Thee Stallion, so I ran backstage before she disappeared.
It was boiling inside the venue so I can’t blame her for wanting the cooler air near the backstage door.
Grateful she gave me a second to shoot. She’s stunning IRL!!
More POV reels incoming. 🏃🏽♀️
Shot for WWD.

DEAD OR ALIVE?
The future of London fashion Week hangs in the balance of a tumbling British economy and an acute lack of funding to culture & the arts. Many industry critics cite London as the worst of the ‘big 4’ with Paris steaming ahead. An exodus of British native brands are pulled to be a part of Paris’ established and refined zeitgeist. Who could blame them?
Since 2015 I’ve been on the streets documenting street style and I can confidently say a lot has changed. Long gone are the days when the schedule was busting at the seems, catwalks every hour, international press at the ready. Monday used to be the biggest day, now shows are corralled into Sunday making way presumably for more travel time and shows in Milan.
London has long championed the punky, rebellious ones from which its power houses of talent emerged. Vivienne Westwood, Christopher Kane, Johnathon Anderson established the grit and creative nature, beckoning fashion students to be present, dress for expression and individuality. Standing outside shows they weren’t invited to, talking, collecting, engaging in the creativity and wonderment that is fashion. The pulse of London is still strong but it sorely lacks of stability of economy. A victim of brexit circumstance, Covid promises and global decline. Underfunded. As much of Britain is.
Perhaps physical catwalks and presentations aren’t the desired medium for fashion any more. For a long time now, brands have been choosing celebrities over journalists to push brand buzz. Is the demise of fashion week simply an extension of shifts in the marketing landscape?
For me, being a part of this chaotic industry has been a beautiful accident. Something that I wasn’t looking for but grafted immensely toward. One thing is absolutely certain, if London is no more, it will never be for a lack of creativity, talent and determination. That we have in droves.

These are more interesting than the finals
Full disclosure, I shoot as quickly as possible of everything I see. There is no time to be precious! You get about 15 mins with the VIPs, 0 time if they are sat seconds before the show.
I barely look at my camera as you never know what you’ll miss.
I speak to everyone I shoot, I figure the least you can do is smile, say hello and ask permission. Probably not what Mario Testino did but I’m not him!
One time i had to make a judgement call, to shoot Orlando Bloom or gamble to see who had just walked in… soz Legolas but I b-lined for the door to see our old nepo fave, Brooklyn.
My head told me Brooklyn but my heart misses Orlando 💔😂 #burberry #celebfashion #frontrow #oliviadean #raye
Getting medieval with MaxMara
The Max Mara Autumn/Winter 2026-27 show, designed by Ian Griffiths, draws inspiration from the medieval leader Matilda di Canossa , blending historical power with modern boardroom sensibility.
The collection features a “soft armor” theme, focusing on structured, luxurious outerwear in camel, cashmere, and alpaca, featuring hip-hugging maxi skirts and page boy tunics.

Mahiro, Tokyo
It was a pleasure to photograph Mahiro on the streets of Tokyo. For this shoot, I wanted to pull in references from the cinema classic, The Matrix (1999). Keeping the styling simple, black, long line fits. Focusing on concrete structures and architectural shapes. And the green grade of being inside the Matrix world.
The movie was shot so long ago but its visual language and plot still stays with me. Have you seen it? @wizardmodelsmen@mahir0____
@megumimaria in Shibuya 渋谷
We walked the crossing about 6 times and had a lot of fun getting creative. So pleased to have vision in my mind come to life. Thank you Meg for posing!
