Serves: 4
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
Tomato Soup:
2 tins canned tomatoes or 1kg fresh tomatoes
2 tablespoons butter
1 onion; finely chopped
4 garlic cloves; minced
1 tbsp. dried oregano
500ml vegetable stock
1 cup fresh cream
Salt and pepper
Toasted Cheese, per person:
Two slices bread
5ml margarine or butter
2 slices cheddar cheese
Directions
1. Melt the butter in a pan, then sauté onion and garlic until soft.
2. Add oregano, tomatoes and vegetable stock, then season with salt and pepper.
3. Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the tomato tastes well-cooked and sweet.
4. While the soup is cooking, make your toasted cheese.
5. Spread margarine on both sides of the bread.
6. Place cheese in the middle and make a sandwich, then add to a non-stick pan and toast the bread until the cheese melts and the outside is golden brown.
7. Using a hand blender, blend the soup into a smooth consistency, then pour in fresh cream and serve hot.

This delicious Beef Stew with Samp and Beans is how we put meat on every plate! 🥘🔥 Make every meal go further with Shoprite and @hopefulfoods ✨
Ingredients
For the Samp and Beans
500g Ritebrand Samp and Beans
1 chilli Ritebrand beef stock
1 onion, finely chopped
30ml (2 tbsp) six gun grill seasoning
For the Beef Stew
1kg Beef Potjiekos Mix
30 ml (2 tbsp) oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
5ml (1 tsp) paprika
5ml (1 tsp) curry powder
15ml (1 tbsp) tomato paste
4 tomatoes, grated
1 chicken stock cube
500ml (2 cups) water
3 medium sweet potatoes, cubed
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Samp and Beans
1. Rinse samp and beans well, cover with water and soak overnight for 6 hours.
2. Drain, place in a pot and cover with fresh water.
3. Bring to a boil, then simmer for about 2 hours until soft, add water if needed.
4. Stir in onion, stock, six gun seasoning and salt. Simmer gently until creamy and well combined.
Beef Stew
5. Sauté onions until soft, add garlic and cook until fragrant, then stir in paprika, curry powder and tomato paste. Cook for 2 minutes.
6. Add the beef, grated tomatoes, stock or water, and a stock cube. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes until the beef is tender.
7. Stir in sweet potato and simmer for another 15 minutes until cooked through.
8. Serve the creamy samp and beans topped with beef stew and plenty of gravy.

One pan is all you need to create a feast! ✨🥘 Feed the whole family for less with this delicious Corned Meat and Potato Pan with @hopefulfoods 🍞👨🍳
Ingredients
1 tin Ritebrand Corned Meat
1 Ritebrand beef stock
30ml (2 tbsp) oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 medium potatoes
5ml (1 tsp) mild curry powder
Salt and black pepper
45ml (3 tbsp) chutney
125ml (½ cup) water
250ml (1 cup) frozen peas
4 eggs (optional)
Fresh bread, for serving
Recipe
1. Heat oil in a large pan, sdd the onion and cook until soft and golden.
2. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
3. Add the cubed potatoes, stir to coat them in the onion mixture. Sprinkle in curry powder, add salt and pepper.
4. Pour in the chutney and stock, cook the potatoes cook for about 15 minutes until tender.
5. Add Ritebrand Corned Meat to the pan and gently mix it through. Let it cook for 5 minutes.
6. Stir in the peas and cook for 3 minutes until heated through.
7. Spoon the Corned Beef, potatoes and peas onto plates.
8. Serve with fresh bread.
Optional
1. Place the eggs in a pot, cover with water and boil. Cook for 8–10 minutes.
2. Remove, cool under cold water, peel and set aside.
3. Halve the boiled eggs and place on top or on the side.
