First during the 2nd day of AICP Week Base Camp sessions & MOMA for the premiere of the AICP Next Awards. So nice to connect with old friends like Lauri Aloi and with Wendell Hanes who gave a heartfelt talk during the Curators' session. Then down to opening night of the Tribeca Festival for screening of the documentary “Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge.” A panel moderated by Gayle King followed that included Diane von Furstenberg, the film's directors, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Trish Dalton, and the film's producers. The film is stellar not only because Diane herself is quite amazing but a real feat of directing, cinematography and editing. The documentary will be streaming on Hulu starting June 25. Don't miss it. Also pleased to mention that SHOOT 2015 New Directors Showcase alumnus Michael Marantz is returning to Tribeca with another short, The White Rabbit, which he wrote, directed and scored. Fun to share the day with Rachel Giannone.
