To @lewsalem & @itsdaryawn I put yall through hell while being selfish and not taking into account how you two would be affected. My actions were trash. Im truly sorry. No man is bigger than the program. My actions will show I've learned the error of my ways. I was unfair. The world deserves to see your talent even more so than mine. This night felt holy.
When I stood up to speak, I wasn’t just honoring friendships.
I was honoring the way God has loved me through these women.
This wasn’t just a Galentine’s.
It was a testimony.
Before there was a fiancé.
Before there was a ring.
Before there was a wedding to plan…
There were these women.
Women who loved every version of me.
They were patient with me.
They reminded me who I was when heartbreak tried to redefine me.
They saw the wife in me after failed relationship after failed relationship.
They spoke life over me when it would’ve been easier to just listen to my disappointment.
And most of all… they stayed.
I learned what real love looked like because of them.
Love that is consistent.
Love that doesn’t leave when things get hard.
Honoring them wasn’t optional. It was necessary.
They didn’t just get asked to stand beside me on my wedding day… they earned that place through years of walking me through every season that led here.
This night wasn’t just about dresses, lights, and pretty details.
It was about gratitude.
For the prayers.
For the staying.
For the love that shaped me long before the aisle.
It was about recognizing that God used their hands to hold me, their voices to encourage me, and their prayers to cover me all along.
