The black lace separates and identifies the woman, but it does not hide her mourning. The blue fabric represents the transitory nature of screens and how we can literally lose ourselves in our machine of choice overfilling our human desires. The fabric is elastic and woven mimicking the vertical lines of the tv screen.
When does our desire for safety become conflated with the desire to disappear?
