🟢⚡️BREAKING: @genevievennaji is returning to screens — and she’s doing it at the BBC.
Nollywood screen icon has joined the cast of Wahala, BBC’s series adaptation of Nikki May’s novel, alongside leads Cush Jumbo, Adelayo Adedayo, Susan Wokoma and Deborah Ayorinde.
Directed by Theresa Ikoko, Leonora Lonsdale and Remi Weekes, the show follows four Nigerian-British women in their thirties whose world is upended by a charismatic and super-wealthy newcomer in present-day London.
Her last screen appearance was Lionheart in 2018. Seven years later, and this makes this project highly anticipated for audiences here in Africa and diaspora
