Windy day Saturday shooting some *content* in the empty field next to my house. Seriously, this field is a gift I will show you someday soon. My landlords own the lot next door and it’s one of the few undeveloped plots of land in the neighborhood. Right now it’s got lilac bushes blooming and in the evening I can see the neighbor bros grilling out in the tall grass. In the summer, wildflowers grow and it gets overrun and it becomes a not so lil diy dog park. I’ve been using it for a lil space of respite and also as somewhere to document my new work.
There’s so much new work yall! It’s very cool to be cranking out clothes like this. I really feel like I’m on a roll. Many new button downs for markets this summer including a lil rain date for @thegoodneighbours.events@osamequinfarm on Memorial Day in a couple weeks. Full list of summer markets I’ll be doing coming soon. Some in Providence, Mass, NYC, and (finally) the Hudson Valley come fall! 👀👀👀
Tofani Door Chore Coat. This one is an ode to sweet and tough as nails South Philly. For those who don’t know, these mid century doors have a cult following down there. Walk the streets of South Philly and find these doors on many a rowhouse. People collect them and line the walls of their tiny cinder block yards with these doors. They are beloved and beautiful. They’re worn but well cared for. Swipe to the end to see some in action. ❤️

Such a sweet afternoon with students, faculty, and families drawing on some garments and making silly cool fun things like this pizza squirrel tote (which I LOVE) as a lil moment to decompress at the end of the school year. Thanks so much to @castakenas for inviting me and always being a champion for accessible opportunities to engage with art practice 💚
Tryna get better at embracing lil imperfections. Usually I’d carve these little lambs out *perfectly* and give this one away because I’d consider it a mess up but when you one have one perfectly pink jumpsuit to play with, I guess you (I) need to be ok with things turning out a little less than pristine. People keep telling me these signs of our tender human hands doing the best we can is one of the things people love about printmaking and about this kind of work- but it’s still hard to just let it be.
That said, the Black Swan, Black Sheep motif seen here is coming in hot on a buncha new stuff soon. Something kinda sweet and elegant that’s also great for those of us who sometimes feel a lil misunderstood. Love you all, xoxo-Zo
Got rained out for the festival today but an unexpected pivot led @potchke.pots and I to vend at the community art show @osamequinfarm ! Sweet lil rainy day meeting some folks and watching precocious babies frolic in the tall grass. Ate some icecream in the car waiting for the rain to stop (@bigfeeling_pvd obvi), got to sell our wares, but most importantly, got to spend an easy afternoon with a sweet friend supporting each other’s art 💚
