My reaction when I see a spider in my room 👆
A quick emotion change test- mostly to practice facial expressions! I quite like the appeal of this rig, but I found the corners of the mouth to be a little hard to work with.
I might revisit this idea- but this time with a proper story. Currently the character is shocked/disgusted by something but the audience can't really tell why.

Starting the day with some practice! I had a little more trouble getting the expressions to look appealing with this rig. I was breaking the geometry a little more than I'd like to, but we'll get there eventually!

hey hey! Hopefully these studies will be a weekly/biweekly attempt at getting the hang of facial animation.
Rig - Lupin from @lupin_house_animation
It's a really fun rig to work with and the character is pretty appealing! The only issue I had was the textures were too dark, but there was an easy fix- I had to set up a directional light to get the exposure right. I'll be testing out the body mechanics later this week, and maybe I'll make another post about that too. All in all, pretty excited to animate this character!
