New Haven based cult rock outfit circled around Matt Paolillo just released their first ever 7 inch EP (out on Stoned to Death tapes and records) !!!
“Fog Bound Laughter / The Disappearing Train” documents Shirese’s loose ends from their previous albums “Rose of Smiling Faces” and “Three Going on Four”, as all three songs are outtakes from both sessions (2021 and 2022). But they are pretty fat and chunky outtakes from the realm of Shirese where solid guitar action meets the heavy truck fumes of CCR zoner poetry filtered through some early Siltbreeze and Philadelphia rock. If you love guitars you can’t not love Shirese.
Pressed on 7” vinyl in Bavaria. Edition of 200 copies. All hand stamped.
Stoned to Death will release the tape edition of “Three Going on Four” (2021) by Shirese later this spring.
