Unusual shot this one, it could be a wedding picture - we did have a wedding reception in the gallery a couple of years ago - but it’s not.
It’s the wonderful sound artist and curator @shinless___ and partner @le.lemon__ both of whom are in Exchange opening this Saturday from 6.00pm. An improvised programme of sound and visuals going on until the early hours, or maybe finishing at 10.00ish in consideration of our very lovely and tolerant neighbour Tony.
Charlie curated a sound installation in the gallery in November 2023 @doubtless which connected sound artists from Hastings, London and the galaxy and culminated in a truly moving, improvised soundscape as one-by-one performers gathered their instruments and joined in.
Really recommend you drop everything and come along to this. A full list of visual artists and sound artists to follow toot sweet.
Following the success of our last audio/visual night: ‘Atmostherapy’, we bring you something decidedly more chaotic: ‘Atmosphuckery’.
Expect psychedelic, pop culture ridden imagery and more genres than you can shake an old school packed-lunch at including: garage, techno, jungle, footwork, g-house, dnb & some 00s/10s chart stuff for good measure.
And yes, that is comic sans. Got a problem? Take it up with the dancefloor.
