sumac crusted salmon, with cauliflower hashbrowns, harissa yogurt and pomegranate + honey dressing.
serves two:
for cauliflower hash browns:
one medium cauliflower
one egg (ended up using two).
onion powder, I used @juxfood , which I ground up
three minced garlic cloves
two - three tbsp of Parmesan
salt and pepper
for the sumac crust:
two and half tsp of ground sumac
half a tsp of spicy paprika
half a tsp of cumin
a lil salt and lotta pepper
for the harissa yogurt:
two tbsp of Greek yogurt
half a tsp of lemon juice
one tsp of harissa
one tbsp of olive oil, I used @ourpopoli
half a tsp of honey
for the pomegranate dressing:
two tbsp of pomegranate seeds
one tsp of honey
half a tsp of lemon
(I had this in the fridge overnight)
half a tbsp of olive oil… yeah my hands slipped.

a lot of the shifts i made with food and my wellbeing came from life changing experiences.
open heart surgery at 20 led me to plant only eating, i was already healthy yet it triggered the desire to be intentional with what i consumed. six years of that evolved into something closer to modified paleo (lean proteins, fish, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, minimal dairy and processed sugars.)
in those early years i dove into cooking and herbalism. experimenting with flavour and understanding which herbs worked for me and which ones didn’t.
i got diagnosed with adhd and autism back to back at 31 which only deepened that intention.
i’m a neurodivergent person who has spent years navigating overwhelm, poor sleep, hormonal shifts and accumulated burnout, especially in the last few years.
not only do i struggle to see myself in the wellness spaces i seek, but sharing real embodied education for people without the time or resources but deserve the knowledge is a big thing for me.
i’m hosting my first workshop thanks to @tattoosca and @neylissa at @yaba.ldn — i’m kinda nervous. but this work is personal.
