Quark Matter 2025 is the XXXI International Conference on Ultra-relativistic Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions. This conference brings together theoretical and experimental physicists from around the world to discuss new developments in high-energy heavy-ion physics. The focus of the discussions is on the fundamental understanding of strongly-interacting matter at extreme conditions, as formed in ultra-relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions, as well as on emergent QCD phenomena in high-multiplicity proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions.

Symmetry between up and down quarks is more broken than expected
Surprising results from the @shine.experiment #AtCERN show that this so-called isospin asymmetry could point to gaps in physicists’ understanding of how quarks and gluons combine.

In very old times @cern SPS used to have and experiment named NA35 (grandpa of NA61) it is known for finding some of the first signatures of the Quark Gluon Plasma in 1995! And everything used to be veeeeeery different. Like the way scientist looked at event collisions.
