Polimoda is proud to have presented Absent Findings’ Fall/Winter 2026/2027 collection at Dubai Fashion Week. Creative Director and Polimoda alumnus Shivin Singh brought to the runway a dreamlike exploration of memory, surrealism, and cultural heritage, where silhouettes exist between clarity and distortion, familiarity and the unknown.
Drawing from Salvador Dalí, David Lynch, and Francis Bacon, the collection transformed saris and forgotten fabrics into garments that linger like half-remembered moments, vivid, charged, and impossible to fully explain.

Shadow Work
A body of work drawn from my inner world,
where memory, cinema, music, and subconscious fragments meet.
These pieces emerged from semi-conscious states.
Dream logic. Unresolved ideas surfacing without analysis.
I’ve been thinking about identity as fluid,
not singular, but adaptive.
Not deception, but survival.
Not weakness, but distinction.
There is a tension that runs through the exhibition,
between instinct and self-awareness,
between appearing carefree and remaining deeply attentive.
Shadow Work also confronts cultural dislocation and self-imposed shame,
an attempt to re-enter parts of myself that once felt absent.
This show documents a formative period in my life,
running parallel to the emergence of Absent Findings.
Contradiction. Dependence. Ambition. Doubt.
The psychological terrain behind wanting to build something honest and enduring.

“EARLY TO THE PARTY” Absent Findings SS26: - SHIVIN SINGH
The second chapter from Shivin Singh studies the tension and tenderness of unspoken interpersonal exchanges, inspired by Andy Shauf’s album, The Party this deepens his exploration of memory, architecture, and cultural heritage through a surrealist lens for Spring/Summer 2026. The collection expands on the sari’s drape and technical construction with groundbreaking new forms. The monumental geometry of the Palace of Assembly in Chandigarh informs structural silhouettes, while the muted, charged palette of Giorgio de Chirico’s metaphysical paintings inspires architectural folds and color choices.
Sculptural yet functional handbag offerings extend this architectural and textural vision.

Absent Findings made its runway debut at Dubai Fashion Week with Not What You Think, the Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection presented in collaboration with Polimoda, Florence. Founded by Creative Director Shivin Singh, the show staged a theatrical programme of elongated silhouettes and textural layering that framed the brand’s core preoccupations: memory, architectural structure, and the psychology of how clothes are worn.
Around 70% of the collection is constructed trom
high-quality deadstock fabrics sourced globally, with sari piping and surplus fabrics appearing as intentional surtace interventions and linings — a deliberate
constraint that the label treats as a design principle. The result is an immediate material intelligence: unexpected fabric pairings, reclaimed textiles used as panels, trims and linings, and visible hand-finishes connect atelier craft to circular supply chain.

Not What You Think - F/W 26/27
A film suspended between dream and memory, absence and recognition.
Set within an abandoned space reclaimed by sand, figures move like explorers, sensing they have been here before.
Each inhabits an inner world.
Aware of others, yet guided by instinct rather than certainty.
They wait, observe, encounter, questioning recognition, trust, and presence.
The garments become extensions of this inner state, allowing presence to emerge through stillness, restraint, and form.
A portal to a shared dream, experienced individually.
