I so crave the time and space to be. To rest and reflect.
I’m grateful for the privilege to be able to slow down and say no to other people’s demands.
I’m grateful for the privilege of being able to chose joy instead of obligations.

The Healing Properties of the Seas is a project I’ve had knocking around my body for a few years now.
A creative space where I share my love of the seas.
A container to house my explorations of the seas. She’s so much a part of me.
We all come from the sea.
Lately I’ve been writing about my relationship with the seas.
Experimenting with film and images and text.
I hold such a deep love and appreciation for her and what she continues to give with with no expectations or demands.
Come as you are, she says. Come as you are. And {BE}.
I’m feeling the need to share my love of the sea with others.
I’m feeling the need to host a swim day during the spring when things have warmed up a bit! I say, just a tad.

I’ve got one meeting today and then gonna put up the packages to send off to the people who have chosen to gather with me and visual journaling.
So looking forward to this time together.
I’ve got a Zine workshop this Saturday and fixing to complete the December newspaper @livingwildstudios
The plan is still to leave social media come the end of the year. Not really made a detailed plan just gonna walk off into the sunset.

What a week. What a month.
So grateful to be moving into the weekend in one piece.
So much has been happening lately that I haven’t had time to turn around.
But I knew it was going to be this way so planned accordingly.
I think I treated myself with a lot of grace and tenderness this month as I held space for so many other people.
Of course there were a few who didn’t appreciate it or get it or want it, this space holding, but the majority got out of it want they needed to.
And that’s all I can wish for.
As the darkness comes closer and lasts longer each day, I turn inwards and start preparing for the dark months ahead.
I’m looking forward to the solitude and quiet. But I will miss being here.
This is probably not the last thank you before I leave here for good.
Thank you for holding space for me all these many years. You’ve been good to me.

Finding those pockets of rest and play for creativity are vital and nourishing.
Feeling blessed to enjoy time and space to explore my darkness.
To welcome the time of laying fallow, to explore the deep recesses of my mind, body and spirit. In silence. In stillness.
Soon come. But not wishing away this time of sweetness as I harvest all the hard work of the year coming to fruition.
Seeds planted in last year’s darkness are blooming now.
Aligning myself with the seasons has never been more evident and natural as it has been this year. This time now.
I just give joy-filled-thanks and blessings.

Wow not only was it amazing to hear their work, but also the conversations and commentaries around the pieces were fascinating and so necessary in our quest to centre marginalised voices.
So good to hold space for these conversations to happen. Tiring yes, but so rewarding.
It’s not work but an honour and a pleasure.
