338 Lapua Cases are officially in production & available on our website. ā¼ļø
The advantages to NAS3 casings are real and we are proud to be adding the .338 Lapua to the lineup. Reduced weight and Improved accuracy, paired with increased velocities due to our case having greater internal case volume (roughly 11%) than traditional brass makes this .338 truly special.
As always thank you to everyone who runs our cases and supports us as we continue to evolve!

Precision starts at the case.
Our NAS³ design brings real performance advantages to every round you load.
⢠Increased internal capacity for more powder and greater load flexibility
⢠Compatible with all primers
⢠Fractionally larger flash hole for more consistent initial ignition
⢠Works with any projectile ā frangible or non-frangible
⢠High-tensile nickel alloy cylinder thatās self-lubricating, corrosion-resistant, and far less abrasive than brass
⢠Shock-wave formed stainless steel head lets the case conform to the breech when fired, then spring back to nearly its original size for smoother, easier extraction
⢠Stronger and more elastic than brass, delivering more consistent round-to-round performance
⢠Magnetic for fast, effortless clean-up indoors or outdoors
NAS³ isnāt just different ā itās engineered to perform.
What happens when you reinvent the 50 BMG? This.
A lighter, faster, smarter 50 BMG is coming.
Weāre making real progress on our 50 BMG project, and the team is well ahead of schedule. We took this photo recently holding the new SST 50 BMG case in one hand and our 5.56Ć45 in the other for scale. The size difference is one thingābut the performance potential behind this case is what makes it truly exciting.
A few key milestones so far:
⢠Weight: our estimated empty case weight is ~30.5 g, compared to ~57.0 g for a standard brass 50 BMG case. Cutting that much weight in a platform this large has real downstream implications for mobility and logistics.
⢠Internal capacity: standard brass 50 BMG cases come in at roughly 290 grains of case volume.
The SST case is modeled at ~330 grains (ā21.4 cc) ā about a 13.8% increase in internal powder capacity.
⢠Velocity potential: early computational analysis is showing roughly a 10% velocity increase based on that expanded capacity and our case architecture. For context, a typical brass 50 BMG (M33 Ball) runs around 2,910 fps. A 10% gain puts projections in the neighborhood of 3,200 fps, depending on load development and barrel length. This should translate into a meaningful extension of effective range.
⢠Accuracy: modeling is also indicating meaningful improvements in consistency and precision, a direct result of both geometry and our material properties.
We still have more validation and testing ahead of us, but this case is shaping up to be something special.
More to come as the tooling progresses.
Today, we honor the peace officers who gave everything in the line of duty.
To the families they left behind and the brothers and sisters in blue who carry their memory forward ā we remember.
More full power .50 testing with NAS3 cases.
Pushing limits. Watching pressures. Sending heavy rounds downrange and collecting real-world data the hard way.
Lighter weight. Less corrosion. More testing to come.
