Mixy mixy timey whimey! @shellshockmelb (she/her) is a DJ, party host, and self-described neurodivergent music nerd based in Naarm. Her sets are curated emotional journeys, weaving together threads of heart, nostalgia, and high-energy playfulness. With a versatile range that spans disco and house to bush techno and hardgroove, she is known for delivering sets that are as technical as they are soulful. A mainstay in the booth, Shell Shock has graced iconic stages including Revolver Upstairs, My Aeon, and New Guernica, as well as Darwin’s Aetheria Festival. Her reach extends internationally, having headlined events across Japan and New Zealand in 2025. Beyond the decks, Shell Shock is a dedicated community builder. Having run events in Naarm for several years, she currently serves as the Brand Manager for the techno collective 150 BPM (@150bpm.events ). She remains deeply passionate about fostering diversity, accessibility, and genuine connection within the electronic music scene. My set from Reemergence 2026 is now up on my Soundcloud! I was honoured to close the Saturday night as we blasted off into outer space. For 90 mins I steered the rocketship through hard dance, filthy house remixes, Y2K club bangers and celebrated iconic pop divas. We got deeply nostalgic and sang at the top of our lungs, with flashbacks to sticky club floors, dancing to guilty pleasures and queer anthems 🪩 🚀 This beautiful bunch of sparkly party animals gave me so much amazing festival energy and totally went along for the ride when things got wild, cheesy and in the feels 🫢🩷👩🏻‍🚀 I was also thrilled to play some tunes that have been sitting in my library for years, waiting for the right moment. Very grateful to be given the space to share this side of my personality 🥰💟 I was so happy to give back to this beautiful party that gave me so much over the weekend 💖🎨 Can’t believe I’ve already played one of my fave sets of the year! This weekend is the nine year anniversary of my first Rainbow - my first proper electronic music festival. My whole world expanded that weekend… musically, creatively and community-wise. My confidence continues to grow, my sound keeps evolving and I feel more connected to community than ever. Thank you for all your support this year! ⚡️
