ALL OF MY CLIENTS ARE SUPERHEROES, BUT NOT ALL OF THEM WEAR CAPES! “Oh my gosh, Sheila, you have such incredibly interesting clients," and it's true! I feel blessed that I have helped to transform the confidence, strength and health of some pretty amazing people.  Watch the video to see if you recognise any of the heroes in your world! You'll be blown away. So, let's look at what binds these incredible people together beyond their labels. Whether they're public service heroes, entrepreneurial business owners, or cancer survivors, they all share common bonds—responsibilities, caregiving roles, and the wisdom that comes with decades of varied experiences (with age comes wisdom!). Also, beyond the glamour and excitement, my clients, like many of us, have, faced broken hearts, lost confidence, and the challenges of aging. The key is not accepting that as an inevitable part of life whether you are in your 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s or beyond. My clients wanted to find out what it means to feel strong, energised, and mentally and physically healthy, no matter their age. It's about celebrating who you are and visualising the best version of yourself for the decades ahead. For me, that's what makes my clients so interesting. And, of course, we are ALL unique with our own superpowers, our own experiences (good and bad) which makes us the amazing people we are.  I’d like you to reflect on the following: - Take a moment to actually congratulate yourself on your achievements - What would your younger self think of where you are now? Have you been a good role model? - Look at areas for improvement where you can make a difference to your current situation. - Seriously, where you want to be mentally and physically in the next 5, 10, or 20 years. - Get rid toxic things! These can be relationships, jobs, habits, and other things that don't bring joy. So you see, how incredibly unique YOU are. Ask yourself: How's it going for you? Go away, reflect, celebrate, and picture a future filled with positive health, energy, strength, and confidence. Your journey is uniquely yours, you are your own superhero — SO OWN IT! #superhero #clients #transformation #ownit

Some moments ask for tears. Some moments need laughter too. I’m sharing a very short clip from a eulogy I wrote and read for a wonderful woman called Diyls. What stayed with me was how naturally humour sat beside sadness. Stories were shared, memories sparked, smiles appeared through tears. Because that’s often how grief really looks when love has been lived fully. People are endlessly fascinating to me. Before any ceremony, coaching call or radio show, I want to know the person behind the dates and facts. What made them laugh? What did they say all the time? What shaped them? What absolutely needs to be remembered? That means listening deeply, asking thoughtful questions, making space for unexpected stories and honest moments. Not ticking boxes. Not following a template. Just genuine curiosity about a life that mattered. My role is then to hold all of that carefully, to shape a ceremony that feels grounded, heartfelt and true, and to hold the room with presence and care on the day. Diyls’ daughter later said: “Sheila was the celebrant for my mum’s funeral service and wrote a heartfelt eulogy. Sheila’s calm guidance helped us through a very difficult day.” And that, for me, is everything. Honouring someone fully often means making room for the tears, the laughter, and all the memories in between. Also, love the fact that Dilys found love at the place of my birth, RAF Halton 💕 #celebratelife #funerals #tribute #family #lovedone #heard #held #honoured

Last Friday, for the very first time since becoming a radio presenter, I had to cancel my show. 😷 After broadcasting 100+ hours of 'live' radio and interviewing 152 fabulous guests to date, I was absolutely gutted. A bug caught me off guard and wiped me out for the weekend. My sincere apologies again to Sarah Leslie, Michael Barratt MBE and Stephen Dawson for the last-minute cancellation and for your understanding. Thankfully, they’ve all kindly agreed to reschedule, so watch this space. Hosting a 'live' chat show has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of speaking with Olympians, military heroes, rockstars, entrepreneurs, aristocracy, artists, activists, and everyday changemakers. What connects them all is this: each has a story of resilience, reinvention, challenge, and purpose. My role is to create a space where people feel comfortable enough to open up, reflect, and share things they may not have expected to say. Because when people feel safe, stories deepen. A message I received from recent guest, Zoe Grayston, meant a great deal to me: "I've only just come down from the high of being on your show. Thank you so very much for the opportunity, for asking such thought-provoking questions, and for supporting me throughout the whole process... I loved the experience, and that's down to you helping me feel comfortable." Feedback like that reminds me why I love doing what I do. 🎙️ If you have an inspiring personal story, business journey, or message worth sharing, I’d love to hear from you. Get in touch if you’d like to be a guest 'live' in the studio. 📻 And if you missed Zoe Grayston’s brilliant conversation with me about relationships, it will be replayed this Thursday, 7th May at 2pm on Marlow FM 97.5 Apologies also to Lesley Woods for ruining our girls night out 🎥🍾👠👗 @graystonclinic @mbcyclingtm @marlowfm @lesleycwoods

People often describe me as someone who reinvents herself… And yes, over the years I have embraced new opportunities - coaching, radio, speaking, and now celebrancy. But this latest step doesn’t feel like reinvention. It feels like adding another layer to who I already am. Every role I’ve stepped into has been connected by a common thread: - conversation - connection, and - storytelling Becoming a celebrant brings those threads together in a deeply meaningful way by supporting people through weddings, transitions, farewells, and life’s defining moments. Not as a script reader. But as someone who listens, reflects, and honours what matters most. Because in the end, it’s not just about the ceremony. It’s about the story being told and how it’s held. Are you reinventing… or simply expanding into more of who you already are?

This weekend, I disappeared. Hardly anyone knew. Hardly anyone noticed. A 10 hour round trip for two days, you ask? Completely worth it. Some days, some weeks and months, really test you. There’s a lot going on in my world right now (very positive and more testing), but even in the messy bits, there’s always space for gratitude and for saying yes. So I did. I decided to get away with my gorgeous girl, Marnie the cockerpoo. We packed our bags and headed west. 🖲️ No social media (aside from sharing this video to stories) 📤 No emails 📚 Finished a book, highly recommend The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah 👣 Lots of walking 🏃‍♀️‍➡️ Tail walked at the place of my very first Parkrun in 2019 (I’ve now done 102, no rush here) 😂 Best time with a friend, talking life, priorities, adventures, and laughing until it hurt 💤 Slept well 🍉 Ate well 🌊 Breathed in clean sea air 🙏 Remembered what really matters 🚗 Enjoyed fairly empty roads both ways (win) Gave myself time to just be… Sometimes, you need to step away to reset, re evaluate, and recharge. Sometimes, you just have to step outside your comfort zone, embrace the moment, and remember, it’s your life. And it’s meant to be enjoyed. Question: where was I? @bethan3491

Why celebrancy and why now? People often ask me why I chose to become a celebrant at this stage of my life. The answer is simple. Because everything I’ve done and am still doing - coaching, radio, conversations - has always been about one thing: helping people feel heard. I’ve seen how powerful it is when someone is given the space to share their story. When memories are spoken aloud. When life’s moments are not rushed, but truly acknowledged. Becoming a celebrant allows me to take that one step further, to shape those stories into ceremonies that reflect a life, a relationship, or a moment in time. It’s not about performance. It’s about presence. It’s about listening. And it’s about ensuring that in life’s most important moments, people feel heard, held, and honoured. This work feels like it fits, not just my skillset, but my values.

A new chapter… or perhaps a natural continuation 🤔 Over the years, many people have known me as a business owner, a coach, a radio presenter, and someone who says yes to new opportunities and reinvention. I'm still all of those, but today, I’m delighted to share that I have now trained as a professional celebrant. But this doesn’t feel like a complete reinvention. It feels like a natural extension of everything I’ve always done and continue to do. 💌 Listening deeply 💌 Creating space for people to reflect 💌 Drawing out the stories that truly matter As a celebrant, I bring together my experience as a coach and broadcaster to create ceremonies that are thoughtful, personal and meaningful. A celebrant who listens like a coach, with the presence of a broadcaster, so that life’s most meaningful moments are heard, held, and honoured. What moments in your life deserve to be paused, reflected on, and truly honoured? I’d love you to take a look at my new website, where all of this comes together:

Healing, one brushstroke at a time 🎨 I worked with my female artist client, Amanda, based in Scotland, during a challenging time, when digestive issues and stress were taking a toll on daily life and motivation. Our focus was to: 💡 clarify priorities 🧘‍♀️ create calm and space to think 🌱 build sustainable routines ✨ regain control and confidence From the very first session, she embraced the process with openness and curiosity. Together, we explored what truly mattered, reflected on patterns, and identified small steps that made a big difference to her wellbeing. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 *"Sheila was there for me when I was at a low ebb, battling digestive issues and feeling pretty fed up with it all. She has this wonderful way of making you feel heard and holding the space and time for me to process and come to my own conclusions about where to focus and what to do next. Sheila also shared her lived experiences, which helped me realise that I can gain back control when my GP focussed more on quick fixes. Sheila is a great listener, kind, and fun, which made me feel at ease and empowered. Thank you, Sheila!"* 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 If you, like my client, are ready to feel empowered, regain control, and approach your health with confidence, I offer a complimentary confidential call to explore whether we’re a good fit to work together. Please feel free to message me.
