April 11, 2003 was Good Friday, I was 11 and my whole world changed in a day. A day. And let me tell you, there was nothing GOOD about that Friday. It was like I stepped into a nightmare and I've been trying to wake up ever since. Life seems so short yet so long..so many years passed like it was nothing, yet I felt every single one so fully. 23 lessons I've learned since My Dad left this world: 1. Blood doesn't equal family. 2.WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN IN BUSINESS. 3. The people you think will be there for you are the first ones to turn their backs. 4. Don't trust words, only actions. 5. When someone says you can call them at even 2am for help, try it. 6. Without money you have no respect. 7. Your character will outlast your life. 8. People will always remember how you made them feel. 9. Ask for help when you need it, people will judge you anyway. 10. Education and skills mean nothing without networking. 11. When people tell others who you are, its your responsibility to SHOW them. 12. The people you spoke to daily won't even ask your family how you are after you die. Choose your friends wisely. 13. Never forget your roots. 14. Let people think you have no money, you will never be broke. 15. Be good at more than one thing, your life will be fuller. 16. Live large. 17. Take pictures of everything. 18. Eat good, dress good, live good. 19. God will always send you exactly what you need when you need it. 20. Your word is your respect. 21. Give with an open heart. 22.
